Dear Ladies,
  It was wonderful to see some members that we haven’t seen in a long time at our last meeting. We have two special evenings coming up filled with decades of tradition, history and sisterhood: May 4th is Lady of the Year and June 1st is Installation. We hope you will join us. Also, if you would kindly bring any non-perishable food for the donation box at the council, it would be greatly appreciated. Worthy Grand Knight Steve Bermudez is working on Box #13 to go to St. Anthony’s.

Our next membership meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4 at 6:45pm (Please Note: this is an earlier meeting start time). Upon entering the Council, temperatures will be taken. Masks must be worn throughout the duration of the evening except when seated. Attendance is recorded by Dorothy Episcopia and your membership card will be checked by Noreen McCabe, Sergeant-at-Arms.
On Tuesday, May 4, our meeting will begin promptly at 6:45pm followed by the Lady of the Year Award Presentation and Celebration with dinner and cash bar for adult beverages. The cost is $30 for Auxiliary members in good standing. Knights in good standing are also welcome to join the event for $30 per person. If you have not yet paid your dues, please reach out to Amy Bermudez, PP Financial Secretary at 516-384-9566. All payments are due by 4/23/21 as a headcount for dinner is required prior to the event. No payments will be accepted the night of the meeting. Contact Lisa James, President at 516-305-1110 to make a payment.
There were no nominations off the floor at the April 2021 membership meeting. We still have the Recording Secretary position open. The slate of officers for 2021/2022 is as follows: President – Rosemarie Prendergast; Vice President – Tricia Daley; Recording Secretary – OPEN; Treasurer – Lina Fusco; Three Year Trustee – Lisa James, PP; Two Year Trustee – Kim Marchetti, PP; One Year Trustee – Lisa Kahl, PP; Financial Secretary – Amy Bermudez, PP; and Sergeant-at-Arms – Noreen McCabe.

Finishing her term on the Board is Vanessa Ambrosecchia, PP. We would like to thank Vanessa for all her years of dedication and wonderful service to our Auxiliary.
Join us Tuesday, June 1 for our membership meeting beginning promptly at 6:45pm followed by the Installation of Auxiliary Officers for the year 2021/2022. The cost for members in good standing will be $30. This includes dinner with dessert, soda/coffee/tea. There will be a cash bar for adult beverages. Knights in good standing are welcome to join the dinner for $30 per person. Reservations are a must. Reservations/Payments can be made at the May Meeting. Are you interested in chairing a Committee next year? This is a good opportunity to support the Ladies Auxiliary and get more involved. At our May meeting, we will be announcing open committee positions & looking for your support. For more information on chairing a committee, please contact Rosemarie Prendergast 516-996-5191.
If you have a charity you would like us to consider donating to at the end of this Auxiliary year, please bring their information to the May 4 Membership meeting.
If you are 80 years old by September 7, 2021, you will be considered a "Lifetime Member" and your dues will be waived. You must provide proof to Financial Secretary, Amy Bermudez, PP at 516-384-9566.
Keep an eye out for some great new announcements! Starting in August 2021 you will have the ability to pay your dues via Zelle or have dues debited automatically from your checking account. Also, you will have the option to pay in advance for 2 years of membership. At the April Member Meeting, we voted to increase Auxiliary Membership dues to $20 per year beginning for the 2021/2022 Auxiliary year.
Let’s have a warm welcome for our new member Stephanie Leibstein. Welcome and thank you for being a part our wonderful organization. We encourage new and current members to join a committee. Please continue to bring in new members, and help our auxiliary grow!
Ladies Auxiliary masks are still for sale! They are adjustable, washable and full color - $10 each. If you would like to purchase a mask or have any questions, please call Vanessa Ambrosecchia, PP at 516-551-5276.
If there is a Sister in need of Financial Assistance through our Fraternal Assistance Program, all proposals must be submitted in writing. For more info, contact Financial Secretary Amy Bermudez, PP at 516-384-9566.
Please keep Past President, Betty Peppard and PGK Donald Metzler in your thoughts and prayers on the passing of three-time Past President Debbie Stallone-Metzler. Please also keep members Irene Glynn, Maria Hosking, Carol Harrigan and Brother Knight Jack Harrigan, member Regina Pasqualino's Brother and our fellow Brother Knight Frank (Frankie the Yankee) Palo in your thoughts and prayers wishing them speedy recoveries. If you know of a member who is sick, in need of prayers or has had a recent death in the family, please contact Lisa Kahl, PP at 516-633-1376.

KNIGHT OWL LOUNGE: - The lounge is now serving food Tuesday – Saturday, 2pm - 7pm. Stop by and check out the menu.

PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT RAFFLE: - Tickets $50 each/3 for $100 * 1st Prize $5,000; 2nd Prize $1,000; 3rd Prize $500 Ticket Drawing at Council Saturday, May 15. Winner Need Not Be Present. For tickets & more information contact DGK Paul Kahl 516-860-8858. All funds raised go to our local charities!

FOOD DRIVE: - Box located in Council Lounge. Donations support St. Anthony's Pantry. Non-perishable items greatly appreciated. Contact GK Steve Bermudez 516-581-6144 with any questions.

SCOTCH AND CIGARS FUNDRAISER: - Saturday, May 22 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Tickets are $100 per person and includes Steak Lunch, Open Bar, 3 Line of Duty Cigars, Cutter & Lighter. Attendees can participate in 50/50 and Chinese Auction. Event will be held at the council. Reservations are a must as space is limited - RSVP by 05/12/2021 to Chancellor, SK Don Morgan at 917-371-3291.
